ActiveTime proves a winner! July 2009
Gevvie Stone,
from Cambridge Boat Club in Connecticut, went to Henley Women's Regatta and won
the Elite sculling final with an 'easy' verdict. She then went on to race in the
Princess Royal Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta. In a hard-fought final she
lost by two lengths to Emma Twigg, the New Zealand Olympic
sculler.
On both occasions she raced in a borrowed boat and used
an ActiveRate. Afterwards she said "I was very impressed by how accurate the
Active Rate was without any installation or wiring. It matched my coach's stroke
watch exactly and gives the half beat. Also, the big numbers make it very easy
to read during racing. It made my racing in a borrowed boat MUCH
easier".
